SKILLS
Our revegetation techniques are specifically designed to restore weather scarred hillside areas to a natural
state, quickly and efficiently. enabling steep and difficult slope areas to be economically revegetated.
For best results Hydro Seeding recommends a full soil test to determine if additional substances are
required to be added with the Hydroseeding mix or applied separately to the subsoil or topsoil
We are dedicated to providing excellence in workmanship using the highest quality products

Hydroseeding (Spray on Seed)
Hydroseeding (or hydraulic mulch seeding, hydro-mulching, hydraseeding) is a planting process that uses a slurry of seed
and mulch. It is often used as an erosion control technique on construction sites. This is sprayed on as an alternative to the
traditional process of broadcasting or sowing dry seed.
It is suitable for both domestic lawns and larger commercial areas, as well as embankments to help control erosion.
The mulch mixture used in Hydroseeding helps to keep hungry birds at bay, stops wind blowouts and erosion control. If
watered correctly, moisture is retained aiding in earlier germination.
Benefits of Hydroseeding
The two primary benefits of Hydroseeding are (one) even application, and (two) fast germination of seeds. Most grass
seeding companies make use of a special hydroseeder which uses a hydraulically-driven mechanical agitation to make sure
that the materials are thoroughly blended, and a centrifugal pump to achieve an even application consistently.
The reason why hydroseeding germinates much faster compared to other seeding methods is that the mulch is
fully blended with the fertilizer water and seeds. Mulch also protects the soil from erosion.
If soil erosion is prevented or reduced, seeds are held in place, assuring a more even lawn. Additionally, the mulch protects
the seeds from wind, and other activities.

WHY HYDRO SEEDING?
Hydromulching & Seeding is a one-step process where seed, fertiliser and mulch are combined
together in water with a special, biodegradable binder. The resulting slurry is sprayed onto the soil
surface providing mulch interlocking mat that retains moisture for seed germination.
